If you’ve been trying to make positive changes in your life, but feel like something is holding you back, read on to discover how I can help.
BWRT is a modern therapy which works with your brain’s natural processes and learned responses.
In comparison to other therapies, BWRT is extremely quick, safe and effective form of therapy (usually between 1 to 4 sessions). It is practical and solution focused – working with how you want to think and feel, without the need to delve into the past.
BWRT can help you to reduce anxiety, fears, stress or worrying. and to dissolve the inner barriers to change. You can read more about BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy) below.
My online therapy room is a private space accessible from anywhere in the world, where you can be assured of a totally confidential service.
BWRT stands for Brain Working Recursive Therapy. It is a modern form of therapy based on neuroscience and scientific research working with the natural processes of your brain.
Therapy focuses on rewiring your thoughts, feelings and emotional responses around the problems you have experienced in your life.
BWRT can help with a wide spectrum of issues, whether these are significant once in a lifetime events, or everyday anxieties which have built up over time and now negatively impact on your quality of life.
BWRT is content-free, meaning you don’t have to talk about problematic and sensitive issues which may feel difficult or uncomfortable to disclose.
The therapist only needs to know how you are feeling during the session and how you would prefer to feel instead.
It works with any gender and across all age ranges.
BWRT requires uniquely specialist training and only certified practitioners are allowed to deliver therapy. Practicing BWRT requires strict adherence to confidentiality and ethical codes of conduct.
BWRT is a technique for changing how your brain responds, by updating old unwanted programmes which cause problems in your life.
For example, if you have a phobia of bats, there will be a programme in your brain that whenever you see a bat, it activates a response of fear.
The new updated programme would be different, seeing the creature as just a bat, not dangerous or a threat and so there is no need to respond in a fearful or anxious way.
The therapy works on a multitude of issues, but BWRT is known to be extremely effective for:
• Phobias and fears: Spiders, rats, dogs, enclosed spaces, driving on motorways and many more
• Habit breaking: Smoking, nail biting, vaping, skin picking, comfort eating
• Limiting beliefs: Procrastination, not good enough (imposter syndrome), public speaking, authority figures, fear of success, rejection, or failure
• Multiple forms of anxiety: Generalised anxiety, performance anxiety, social anxiety, agoraphobia, health anxiety, exam anxiety, driving test anxiety
• Mental trauma: For example, witnessing an accident, a difficult breakup, being assaulted or hospitalisation from a major illness such as COVID-19 or for surgery
• PTSD: (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Experiencing flashbacks of negative events over a prolonged period
• Grief and sadness: The loss of a family member, friend or pet. Also major life stage changes
I am passionate about an holistic therapy approach to support you in addressing barriers which hold you back in life.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT), registered with the Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) in the UK. I specialise in the field of mental health and am also a registered BWRT specialist practitioner.
Using in-depth experience working with people with a multitude of mental health conditions, I am able to provide each client with a personalised therapy programme, tailored to their needs.
I am also experienced in cognitive and physical therapy within the fields of neurological rehabilitation and acute therapy.
I work as a Specialist Occupational Therapist in one of the busiest hospitals in England and for one of the largest Trusts in UK.
As an Occupational Therapist I have treated a wide range of varying conditions but have a major focus on mental health.
Whilst working within various health services I realised the wide range of patients who would all benefit from a mode of therapy that would help them move past the barriers which were holding them back in life.
Barriers such as mental trauma, fears, confidence issues, “bad habits”, low self-esteem and a range of anxieties. I observed time and time again the benefits of such an impactful form of therapy such as BWRT.
I am based in the UK, in North West England. I live with my wonderful wife and two children, also two lovely border collies and one very lazy house cat.
I work with clients exclusively in my private online consulting room which is accessible from anywhere in the world.
There are many advantages on online therapy sessions and it has been shown to be just as effective as in person therapy.
I offer a free introductory consultation which is an opportunity for us to have a conversation about the issues you’re facing and for me to advise on how I can help you to make positive changes. Also to check that we can communicate effectively in the online environment and that you feel comfortable.
To schedule a consultation, please contact me through the appointment booking form below. There is no fee for this initial consultation which lasts around 20-30 minutes and no obligation to book sessions.
If you decide to book therapy sessions with me, the fee is £50 per session and sessions last around an hour. Every issue is individual and therapy is personally tailored for each client, but as a guideline I usually work with clients for between 1 and 4 sessions.
